Appledore, par., vil., and ry. sta., E. Kent, on the Royal Military Canal, 6 miles SE. of Tenterden, 3007 ac. (22 water), pop. 648; P.O., T.O. The vil. is 1½ mile W. of the ry. sta., and was formerly a market town.
