Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Dunbeath Water

Dunbeath Water flows 14½ miles SE. to Dunbeath Bay, which has salmon fishings, and is an excellent station for herring-fishing; 1 mile S. of the vil., on a sea-cliff, is D. Castle, a modernised baronial fortalice.
