Niddry Castle, ruin, Kirkliston par., Linlithgowshire, 1 mile SE. of Winchburgh. Queen Mary was conducted hither on the night of her escape from Lochleven Castle, 2d May 1568. Niddry is the property of the Earl of Hopetoun, to whom it gives the title of baron.
