Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for HIRAETHOG HILL

HIRAETHOG HILL, a range of hill and mountain in Denbigh; extending north-westward from the confiines of Merioneth, in the vicinity of Derwen, to the coast of the Irish sea, in the vicinity of Conway. It is about 25 miles long, and from 5 to 15 miles broad. It contains some high lakes, and the sources of many streams; and it is, in general, heathy and barren, yet includes some fertile spots.
