Catter, a fine old mansion in Kilmaronock parish, Dumbartonshire, near the left bank of Endrick Water, 1¼ mile S by W of Drymen. The property of the Duke of Montrose, it is occupied by his chamberlain; and commands a splendid view of Buchanan park, lower Strathendrick, and the southern waters of Loch Lomond.
