A vision of Britain from 1801 to now.
Including maps, statistical trends and historical descriptions.
This section of the database contains data on births and deaths as reported for Local Government Districts (LGDs), Administrative Counties and aggregates thereof. Before 1911, similar data were generally reported for Registration Districts, although the LGD system was created in 1894. Because LGDs were far more numerous than Registration Districts, tabulations were often more selective and included various ad hoc aggregates. As a result, linkage to the Administrative Unit Ontology is less complete. Another difference is that the Decennial Supplements from this period appeared every ten years but did not include data from all ten years.
