Festiniog, town and par. with ry. sta., Merioneth, in valley between rivers Dwyryd and Cynfael, 16 miles SW. of Llanrwst, 16,456 ac., pop. 11,274; P.O., T.O., 2 Banks. Market-day, Saturday; has slate quarries.
