ROTHERWICK, a parish in Hartley-Wintney district, Hants; 3 ½ miles N W by W of Winchfield r. station, and 5½ N E by E of Basingstoke. Post-town, Hartford-Bridge, under Winchfield. Acres, 1, 924. Real property, £2, 126. Pop., 386. Houses, 93. The property is divided among a few. Tylney Hall was the seat of the Tylney family, but has been taken down. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Winchester. Value, £.300. Patron, the Bishop of Winchester. The church is ancient but good. There are an endowed school, and charities £16.
