MONEWDEN, a parish, with a village, in Plomesgate district, Suffolk; near the river Deben, 4½ miles WNW of Wickham-Market, and 4¾ W by S of Parham r. station. Post town, Wickham-Market. Acres, 1,088. Real property, £1,928. Pop., 223. Houses, 30. The manor belongs to Austin, Esq. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Norwich. Value, £290.* Patron, A. Arcedeckne, Esq. The church has a tower, and con tains a brass of 1595.
