This unit appears to have had an official name change between 1961 and 1971. The parish table (3) from the county report of the 1971 Census indicates a change, but gives no details and it is not mentioned in the Boundary Change Listing table (4) of this report. Essex County Record Office could not provide any additional information, therefore the new name from 1971 has been entered as an alternate until an authoritative source is identified.
