Key

Economically inactive refers to people who are not participating in the labour force. Being economically inactive is defined as not being in employment and not having searched for work in the last four weeks and/or being unable to start work in the next two weeks. The percentage economically inactive is the number of economically inactive people aged 16-64 years divided by the total population aged 16-64 years, then multiplied by 100.
