Dalchosnie, an estate, with a mansion, in Fortingall parish, NW Perthshire, near the right bank of the Tummel, 1¼ mile ESE of Kinloch Rannoch. Its owner, General Alastair M`Ian M`Donald, of Dun Alastair (b. 1830; suc. 1866), chief of the M`Donalds of Keppoch, holds 14,000 acres in the shire, valued at £2676 per annum.
