Hillswick, a seaport village and a voe or hay in Northmaven parish, Shetland. The village stands on the voe, 12 miles S by W of the northern extremity of the mainland, and 25 NNW of Lerwick, under which it has a post office. The voe penetrates the land 3 miles north-north-eastward; is flanked on the W side by a narrow peninsula, terminating in a point called Hillswick Ness; affords well-sheltered anchorage; and is a good deal frequented by .vessels.
