Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Newbridge

Newbridge, a hamlet, with an inn, in the Edinburghshire portion of Kirkliston parish, on the right bank of Almond Water, 8 miles W by S of Edinburgh. It suffered great devastation by cholera in 1832.
