Poltalloch, the ancient seat of the Malcolm family, in Kilmartin parish, Argyllshire, on the eastern shore of Loch Craignish, 10 miles NNW of Lochgilphead. Its present proprietor, John Malcolm, Esq. (b. 1805; suc. 1857), holds 82, 579 acres in the shire, valued at £18, 200 per annum.
