Ravenscraig or Ravensheugh Castle, a ruin in Dysart parish, Fife, on a sea-cliff 1 mile SW of Dysart town. It was given, with circumjacent lands, by James III., to William Sinclair, third Earl of Orkney, in 1470; was long the seat of the Lords Sinclair; continued to be inhabited in the time of Oliver Cromwell; and now is interesting mainly for its associations.Ord.
