Ronaldshay, North, island (forming a quoad sacra par.), Cross and Burness par., Orkney, pop. 547; is the most northerly of the Orkney Islands, measures 3 miles long and 2 miles broad, is generally low and flat, and has a sandy but fertile soil; on NE. point of island, and N. point of Orkneys, is a lighthouse 139 ft. high, with flashing light (North Ronaldsha) 140 ft. above high water and seen 18 miles.
