Arasaig, or Arisaig, dist. and vil., Ardnamuchan par., on W. coast of Inverness-shire, between lochs Morar and Aylort, pop. (of reg. dist.) 1136. The dist. is mountainous and sterile. A deer forest at A. consists of 27,000 ac. The vil. is regularly called at by the Glasgow and Isle of Skye steamers. The prom. of Arasaig Point is 3½ miles SW. of the vil.
