Bantry, market and seaport town, in the above bar., Kilmocomoge par., on Bantry Bay, 58 miles SW. of Cork by rail, pop. 2632; P.O., T.O., 1 Bank.Market-day, Saturday. The inhabitants depend chiefly on fishing and the tourists who visit the district. The corn trade has fallen off considerably. The seat of the Earl of Bantry is in the vicinity.
