Deer, New, par. and vil., E. Aberdeenshire -- par., 26,750 ac., pop. 4875; vil., 2½ miles W. of Maud June, and 13 miles W. of Peterhead, pop. 755; P.O., 2 Banks; is a thriving place, with several annual fairs, 2 hotels, a market-place, and a public hall (1864).
