Portglenone, par., W. co. Antrim, and small market town, partly also in Tamlaght O'Crilly par., co. Londonderry, on river Bann, 9 miles W. of Ballymena - par., 10,751 ac.,pop.6057; town, pop. 686; P.O., T.O. Market-day, Tuesday. Portglenone has trade by the river in grain, slates, timber, &c. The weaving of linen is carried on.
