Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for St Dogmell

St Dogmell, par. and vil., Pembrokeshire - par. (partly within the bor. of Cardigan), 6220 ac. (235 water), pop. 2468; bor. part, pop. 942; vil., on river Teifi, opposite Cardigan; P.O., T.O.; is principally inhabited by a prosperous fishing population. St Dogmell Priory was founded here in the reign of William the Conqueror, and is a place of great historic interest.
