Tyrrellspass, vil., Newtown and Clonfad pars., S. co. Westmeath, 5 miles E. of Kilbeggan and 10 miles S. of Mullingar, pop. 384; P.O., T.O. Tyrrellspass takes its name from having been for centuries the residence of the family of Tyrrell, whose castle still remains.
