Calshot, or Calshot Castle, hamlet, coastguard station, and seat, S. Hants, at W. side of mouth of Southampton Water, 7 miles SE. of Southampton. Off C. Castle, and on E. side of channel, is a lightvessel, with revolving light (Calshot) seen 9 miles.
