Stour, river, Kent; rises 2 miles N. of Hythe, and flows NW. to Ashford, thence NE. past Canterbury to Stourmouth, where it is joined by the Lesser Stour, thence E., S., and N. past Sandwich toPegwell Bay; is 40 miles long.
