Skinburness, vil., Holme Cultram par., Cumberland, on the coast, 1½ mile NE. of Silloth sta.; is a sea-bathing resort, and is engaged in the herring fishery. Skinburness (or Cote) Lighthouse is 32 ft. high, and has a fixed light 40 ft. above high water and seen 9 m.
