Dyfi, or Dovey, river, N. Wales; rises on E. side of Aran Mowddwy, Merioneth, and flows S. and SW. across Montgomeryshire and along border of.Merioneth and Cardiganshire to the Irish Sea at Aberdovey; is 30 miles long; its estuary is 6 miles long.
