Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Mllford, New (or Neyland)

Mllford, New (or Neyland), seaport town, Llanstadwell par., Pembrokeshire, on creek of Milford Haven, opposite Pembroke dock, 4 miles E. of Milford, 8¾ S. of Haverfordwest, and 282 W. of London by rail; P.O., T.O., called Neyland. New Milford is the terminus of the South Wales Ry., and here goods are put on board the Irish steamers. The railway runs down to the water's edge, and the haven (1½ mile wide) is crossed by steam ferry.
