HAUGHTON, or Hcugham, a parish in East Retford, district, Notts; 1½ mile NE of Walesby, and 4½ WNW of Tuxford r. station. Post town, Walesby, under Newark. Acres, 1, 001. Real property, £1, 059. Pop., 61. Houses, 11. The living is a p. curacy, annexed to the vicarage of Walesby, in the diocese of Lincoln. The church is in ruins; and was once the burial place of the Earls of Clare.
