COTON, a township in Hanbury parish, Stafford; on the river Dove, and the North Stafford railway, 3¼ miles W of Tutbury. Pop., 72. A viaduct of the North Stafford railway, 114 feet high, and 693 feet long, is in the neighbourhood.
