The manor and most of the land belong to W. Deedes, Esq. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Canterbury. Value, £246.* Patron, the Archbishop of Canterbury. The church is ancient but good, and has a small spire. Kennet, author of " Roman Antiquities, " was a native; and hisfather was vicar.
