Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for MOEL-Y-DON

MOEL-Y-DON, a ferry on the Menai strait; near the Britannia bridge. Part of Edward I. 's army crossed it, by a bridge of boats, in 1282; and suffered a severe defeat from the Welsh.
