1. These data were obtained from table "QS410EW - Persons per room - People" for Local Authorities from the 2011 Census of Population. The data were downloaded from NOMIS on 2nd August 2016.

Notes:

1. The data contained a caveat about accuracy due to data protection. This may affect results from the check sums: "In order to protect against disclosure of personal information from the 2011 Census, there has been swapping of records in the Census database between different geographic areas, and so some counts will be affected. In the main, the greatest effects will be at the lowest geographies, since the record swapping is targeted towards those households with unusual characteristics in small areas. More details on the ONS Census disclosure control strategy may be found at Census Results / Statistical Disclosure Control."
2. The matching between the auo and the names in the spreadsheet identified a typo in the dataset. "Rhondda Cynon Taf" is spelt with a single "F" at the end in all other instances of it's use, including the corresponding copy of the table on Neighbourhood Statistics. Therefore the name has been manually corrected in this copy to allow matching.
3. In March 2021 the name of the table was updated from hous_2011_ew to be h_dens_2011_ew to more accurately reflect the content.

2. The geographical units have been cross-checked against the GBHGIS administrative unit gazetteer to ensure that all units are correctly identified. The unit names and types have been standardised. Each unit has a unique unit ID assigned to it and this can be used to cross-reference against other data-sets.
