Lumphanan, par. and hamlet with ry. sta., Aberdeenshire - par., 8754 ac., pop. 1130; hamlet, 5½ miles E. of Aboyne; P.O., 1 Bank; 1 mile NW. of the parish church is Macbeth's Cairn.
