FAIRCROSS, a hundred in Berks; nearly in the centre of the county. It contains Beedon parish, thirteen other parishes, and part of another. Acres, 39, 331. Pop. in 1851, 13, 482; in 1862, 15, 899. Houses, 3, 507.
