In 1882-4, Frances Groome's Ordnance Gazetteer of Scotland described Innergellie like this:
Innergellie House, a modern mansion in Kilrenny parish, Fife, 1 ¼ mile NE of Anstruther. Its owner, Edwin Robert John Sandys-Lumsdaine, Esq. of Blanerne (b. 1864; suc. 1873), holds 428 acres in Fife and 2603 in Berwickshire, valued at £1182 and £2364 per annum.Ord. Sur., sh. 41, 1857.
