Walkmill.-- vil., Audenshaw eccl. dist., Ashton under Lyne par., SE. Lancashire, near Guide Bridge sta., which is 5 miles NE. of Stockport.
The location is that of "Walk Mill", as named on the Ordnance Survey 'England - Lancashire: 105' 1:10,560 map of 1848 (http://www.british-history.ac.uk/mapsheet.aspx?compid=55125&sheetid=4741&ox=0&oy=0&zm=1&czm=10&x=265&y=215, accessed 28 August 2012).
