Pop. in 1851, 959; in 1861,807. Houses, 202. The decrease of pop. arose partly from the closing of a boarding-school. The property is much divided. The living is a vicarage, united with the rectory of Llanfair-Trelygen, in the diocese of St. David's. Value, £147.* Patron, the Bishop of St. David's.
