Ormesby St Michael  Norfolk

In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Ormesby St Michael like this:

ORMSBY-ST. MICHAEL, or Little Ormsby, a parish in Flegg district, Norfolk; 1½ mile W by N of Ormsby St. Margaret village, and 5½ N N W of Yarmouth r.station. Post-town, Ormsby, under Great Yarmouth. Acres and real property returned with Ormsby, St. Margaret. Pop., 311. Houses, 68. ...

The property is divided among a few. Ormsby Broad is a lake of about 100 acres. The living is a vicarage, annexed to the vicarage of Ormsby, St. Margaret, in the diocese of Norwich. The church consists of nave and chancel with a tower; and contains monuments of the Upchers and the Mannings. There is a church and poors' estate, yielding £42 a year.
