NORDEN, a chapelry in Rochdale parish, Lancashire; in the W suburbs of Rochdale. It was constituted in 1862; and its post town is Rochdale. Pop., 2, 662. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Manchester. Value, £300. Patron, the Vicar of Spotland, St. Clement. The church was built in 1862, at a cost of nearly £3,000; is in the decorated English style; and contains 524 sittings.
