In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Furzy Park like this:
FUZZY-PARK AND PORTFIELD, an extra-parochial tract in Haverfordwest district, Pembroke; near Haverfordwest. Acres, 820. Pop., 202. Houses, 52.
The location is that of the road "Furzy Park", as shown on current street maps. This road clearly did not exist until after the 1940s, and the name "Furzy Park" has not been found on earlier topographic maps other than as part of the name of the parish.
