PENMAEN, a parish in Swansea district, Glamorgan; in the Gower peninsula, on Oxwich bay, 9 miles W S W of Swansea r. station. It contains the hamlet of Paviland; and its post town is Swansea. Acres, 1, 538; of which 55 are water. Real property, £805. Pop., 123. Houses, 25. The property is divided among a few. The living is a rectory in the diocese of St. Davids. Value, £210.* Patron, not reported. The church is good.
