CRASTER, a township in Embleton parish, Northumberland; on the coast, near the Northeastern railway, 6 miles NE of Alnwick. It has a post office under Alnwick. Acres, 796. Pop., 216. Houses, 38. Craster House has belonged, for six centuries, to the family of Craster.
