Table 3 in the county report for Midlothian from the 1931 Census has a footnote which says 'The boundaries of the Parish of Edinburgh were extended by the Edinburgh Boundaries Extension and Tramways Act, 1920, to include the whole of the Parishes of Colinton, Corstorphine, Cramond, Leith, and Liberton, and part of the Parish of Inveresk.' The gazetteer has been amended to reflect this.
