Strathy, quoad sacra par. and vil., Farr par., on N. coast of Sutherland - quoad sacra par., pop. 790; vil., at mouth of Strathy Water, 18 miles W. of Thurso; P.O.; Strathy Point, a bold headland, is 3½ miles N. of vil.; Strathy Water issues from Loch Strathy, and flows 14 miles N. to Strathy Bay.
